Education & Schools
Opening doors for the next generation
Access to connectivity is no longer optional in education—it is foundational.
Across Mexico, many students still face barriers to accessing digital tools and learning resources. For some, this means falling behind—not because of a lack of ability or ambition, but because access to the tools they need to learn simply isn’t there.
Reliable and accessible connectivity can help change that.
When schools and communities are connected, students gain access to a broader world of learning—online resources, digital tools, and new ways to build skills that prepare them for the future.
What cloud-native connectivity enables:
Connected classrooms and learning environments
Stronger digital literacy from an early age
Access to educational and financial tools, even when at home
For students, this can mean more than better learning—it can mean greater confidence, opportunity, and readiness for a digital economy.
CASE STUDY
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many students in Mexico were unable to attend school in person, and for some, access to the internet was not an option. Without connectivity, this meant missing classes, falling behind in their education, and losing access to the tools and support systems that help them learn—while also being cut off from important information about what was happening in the world around them.
At the time, OXIO supported schools and e-learning initiatives by providing free connectivity to students and educators. In some cases, this meant enabling access to online classes, educational tools, and critical information during a period of uncertainty.
At its peak, this effort helped connect thousands of schools, allowing students to continue learning from home and stay informed during the pandemic.
What began as a way to test and deploy technology in a real-world setting also demonstrated something more important: the tangible impact connectivity can have on people’s lives.
It showed how access to something as simple as reliable internet can help ensure that education continues—even in the most challenging circumstances.
